Pair of Navajo women's red high-topped moccasins. The uppers are made of buckskin and deerskin that has been dyed red. The sole is thick rawhide that is tied to the upper with sinew. This moccasin style was common in the 1850-60s and some examples persisted as late as 1870 or 1880.
